Melanie Johnson, co-owner of Elite Online Publishing, interviews Rich Tyson, the founder and CEO of CEO Builder, a company based in Utah that has been in operation for 35 years. The inception of CEO Builder was driven by Rich’s desire to be more present for his family, prompted by his wife’s wish for him to spend less time traveling and more time at home to help raise their children.

About Rich Tyson:

Rich Tyson is a veteran businessman, advisor and trainer – having acted in these capacities for 40 years. He has served in executive positions in finance, marketing, and manufacturing, as well as serving as CEO of several businesses. He has worked for major Fortune 500 companies, as well as small entrepreneurial ventures. Further, he has over eleven years experience in organizing and marketing two presidents’ organization groups in the Salt Lake City, Utah area wherein he has acted as chairman and facilitator for groups of up to 15 company presidents each. For the past 25 years, he has been president of his own consulting and training firm, which has served companies from over sixty industries.

Rich is the creator of the PACER Models, which undergird much of the training and consulting of CEObuilder’s Outreach Courses and Seminars (OCS). He has served on the faculty at the University of Phoenix and has taught MBA and undergraduate business courses at a number of colleges and universities. He has also served on staff for a number of high adventure outdoor training courses. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School, having earned an MBA in 1977.
