January 11, 2022

Bestselling authors Melanie Johnson and Jenn Foster explain you don’t have to be a writer to write a book.

Learn 9 ways to get your book written quickly.

Not a writer? Don’t know where to start? Not a good speller? No Problem! Here’s how to make it happen right now.

Your Book will Help your Business or Career

  • Gain more clients
  • Establish your credibility
  • Stand out in your industry
  • People want to work with an expert
  • Showcase your brand
  • Use as a marketing tool
  • Get Media Attention
  • Your book will last forever

1. Repurpose Your Content

Your newsletters, blog, social media posts, even the content on your website, already have enough content for a book. Choose your favorite entries, then create a new intro, add an innovative conclusion, and scatter in a few original new comments. Each of those posts becomes a chapter. Add some photos over the weekend and be published in less than thirty days. Remember, book readers have a broader topic preference than blog or newsletter readers.

The Book Writing Bestseller Solutions Course is a step-by-step system for writing a book in less than thirty days. Melanie & Jenn created the chapters from their podcast, “Elite Expert Insider.” The top 15 podcasts, some original content specifically for the book, and it’s done!

2. Hire a Ghostwriter

Don’t have time to write. Then hire a ghostwriter.  You outsource to them for very little.  You can just compile your ideas. The Ghostwriter will do the research and write the book. Then you work with the ghostwriter/editor to fill in the holes and add your own voice.

3. Interview Experts

Justine Gronwald helps people find a great attorney in her book Lawyer Up! What better way to figure out how to do that than ask the experts? She contacted seven attorneys who each wrote a chapter. Now, they promote the book to their clients and her audience grew seven-fold!

4. Someone Interviews You

Or have someone interview you.  Just sit and have them be curious and ask you questions about your business, expertise, or topic. Record a conversation with a friend or family member that you are comfortable with.

5. Use AI Apps to Talk your Book (Artificial Intelligence)

Voice record yourself on your phone using Evernote or Otter. ai . You can do this from anywhere. The app will transcribe your thoughts as you speak them.  Melanie has been in the car and pressed the record button. She starts talking out loud to the phone and can get a chapter done by the time she is home from dropping her kids off at school.

6. Video Yourself

Video yourself with your phone.  You can use a selfie stick. Just put your phone on the selfie stick and hit the record button and start talking. The cool thing about this is you will have the video after to use on YouTube or other social media. You can edit it into different segments. To promote your book.

7. Pros and Cons

Pros and Cons – These are easy ways to get you started writing your book. Pick your subject and think about the pros and cons of your topic. By writing these down you will instantly have the chapters to your book.

8. Do’s and Don’ts

Can You write a book using do’s and dont’s? Of course, you can. Some people have even written books on only the don’ts. Here are some titles of dos and don’ts books.

The Dos and Don’ts of Dating
The Dos and Don’ts of Graphic Design
The Does and Don’ts of Resumes

9. 10 x 3 x 3

Our Secret Formula!

  • Top 10 FAQ or SAQ (SHOULD ask questions) for your business
  • 1-3 short stories
  • 3 points for each story

Here is how it works.
Write down the 10 most Frequently asked questions in your business and or the 10… should have asked questions and the answers.
Then write down 1-3 stories or examples for each question. People love and gravitate to stories. Give a real-life story from your own experience that illustrates your question or tell somebody else’s story if you don’t have one.  It’s just as powerful.
Next give 3 lessons or points from the question and story, that they should get from the information. This brings the whole thing together.

Melanie offers her Dominican Republic Villa for writing retreats and vacation renters. She answers the FAQ about what the price includes followed by a story. “Imagine an hour before breakfast, you hear your personal chef tinkering in the kitchen. The aroma of Dominican coffee soon wafts into your room bringing you fully awake. As you wander to your private terrace overlooking the pool, fresh fruit and warm croissants wait for you, making your mouth water. When you’ve finished eating…someone ELSE cleans up! The point is all-inclusive means the royal treatment.

Such an easy system!
