- How to learn to invest on Rapunzl.
“I think the first thing, if you’re curious about the stock market or think this is something that you wanna do, it’s to first start to educate yourself and start to read. So you don’t necessarily have to just go invest tomorrow.” (4:58)
“I think that a lot of really successful investors, unless you’re a hedge fund manager or something like that, you’re not necessarily thinking about how am I getting rich overnight. A lot of the best investors are doing this for a long period of time.” (10:16)
“We need to go on a road trip and meet our potential users, find out where they’re at, and we were figuring out other streams or other mediums to market the platform, digital ads and things like that. So what we did is we bought a van we wrapped it in the Rapunzel logo and we drove to the colleges around us.” (13:17)
About Myles Gage:
Myles is the co-founder of Rapunzl and an advocate for financial education especially for individuals in underserved communities. Attending Ariel Community Academy on Chicago’s south side exposed him to the stock market at a very young age, as financial literacy was the crux of its curriculum.
That’s why, subsequent to graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Myles developed Rapunzl with his highschool friend, Brian Curcio. Together they designed and developed an app that addresses the three roadblocks that prohibit many from understanding the stock market: fear, exposure, and accessibility.
