“You have to be innovative all the time, not just in a time crisis or pandemic, but you always have to be innovative.” (11:16)

“We can keep all that as our toolbox so that if something happens, we’ve got it. So we don’t have to go back and start over again. We’ve already we’re already ready with it.” (11:40)

“Most people should have a PR person, but a lot of people don’t want to spend the money. In the end, it’s a lot less expensive than buying big ads and publications that cost you know, upwards of $5,000 for a one time, print ad whereas for a lot less than that you can have a PR firm is constantly advising you every month on what the trends are.” (13:30)

About Karen Henry:

Henry started her extensive career with a Texas-based agency before relocating to Los Angeles where she delved into the entertainment industry, working in a public relations office for clients such as Donna Summer, Chicago, Helen Reddy, and Sylvester Stallone. She was also public relations manager for renowned writer and lecturer, John Bradshaw before forming Karen Henry Public Relations in 1999.

Karen loves her husband, her four children and her life on the Bayou and has absolutely NO spare time, but likes to travel to Mexico and to her favorite spots around Texas while listening to Frank Sinatra and the roar of the road. She has affiliations with the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, Houston Country Club, Lone Survivor Foundation, and American Heart Association. She attended the University of Texas at Austin majoring in communications, holding her bachelor’s degree in theatre from Lamar University.
